SHORT ANIMATION | 2021
Character focused animation. For this project, I had to start from scratch - designing a character, model, rig and animate it. Also, I designed a character bible for the policeman in which to describe his character profile. I used a recorded video reference of an actor performing the movements.
The is a middle-aged policeman from the ’60s. He has a long torso, His stance is a round-shouldered slouch with short legs and long hands. His body consists of oval shapes. His nose is round and big and his eyes are under the hat. His movements are over-exaggerated which contributes to the overall hilariousness. His walk is jumpy, lazy, distracted, clumsy and stumbling
He communicates mainly with gestures. They are eager, nervous and dramatic.
He is dedicated to his work and do what he is told to do with absolute integrity, but he can’t respond reasonably to an emergency. He is irrational, impulsive and quckly falls into panic.
